Supplemental & Major Base Portfolio
Grades: 9th-12th (Ages: 14-18)
Supplemental/Major Base Portfolio - Fine Art
This course helps students develop a strong, cohesive fine art portfolio for art school applications. Through projects like figure drawing, still life, portraiture, landscape painting, and abstract expressionism, students will enhance their technical and creative skills.
Grades: 9th-12th (Ages: 14-18)
This course is an advanced-level class that helps students refine and expand their digital art portfolios. It covers specialized topics such as digital installation, animation, concept art, illustration, environment design, 3D design, digital painting, self-expression, and photogrammetry.
Portfolio Fundamentals and Competition
Grades: 7th-12th (Ages: 12-18)
Portfolio Fundamental - Fine Art
This course immerses students in a creative and challenging environment where they enhance their art materials and craftsmanship. It focuses on building the foundational skills necessary for developing a strong portfolio.
Grades: 7th-12th (Ages: 12-18)
This course focuses on developing the essential skills needed to create a successful digital art portfolio. It covers key fundamentals like design principles, composition, and color theory, while encouraging personal identity development through open-ended prompts.
Grades: 7th-12th (Ages: 12-18)
This course focuses on helping students manage their time effectively, complete projects within deadlines, and properly format their submissions. Competitions covered may include YoungArts, NASA, and Scholastic Art & Writing.
Fine Art
Grades: 7th-12th, Adults (Ages: 13+)
The course also covers figure construction with a focus on proportions, and includes a 3-week charcoal figure drawing study. Students will apply these techniques in live model drawing sessions, utilizing traditional materials such as vine charcoal for rapid sketches, thereby enhancing both their observational and drawing abilities.

Figure Study II
This course includes a 3-week figure study, copying a master artist and practicing shading techniques. It concludes with live model figure and portrait drawing, using vine and charcoal for quick sketches, refining observation and drawing skills.

Figure Study III
The course refines painting techniques for hands, arms, and legs, followed by a 3-week classical figure study based on a master artist’s work. The course concludes with an illustrative figure painting study, focusing on modern color mixing, line weight, and new techniques for dynamic expression.

Advanced Canvas Brush Painting
The course allows freedom to explore mediums like watercolor, acrylics, tempera, and water-mixable oils, with a focus on portraiture, still life, and personal style.

Still Life Observation Art 2
This course emphasizes local color, light, form, drapery, texture, and material studies. Students will refine rendering techniques, experiment with expressive marks, and work with more complex objects and larger art pieces.

Brush Mediums & Canvas Painting
The course guides students from basic to advanced techniques, focusing on brushwork, personal style, and fluid motion. Students will work on progressively challenging projects, learning to simplify complex subjects into abstract shapes while refining their approach to composition and detail.

Intense Visual Art Training 2 (OCSA Prep)​
This course builds on the skills from Training 1 to prepare students for the OCSA prompts. It focuses on refining conceptual themes, compositions, and design principles, while improving time management. Intense Visual Art Training 1 (OCSA Prep) ​
This course focuses on deepening students’ understanding of drawing, shape, design, color theory, value, and attention to detail. Sketching Essentials
This course emphasizes depth, contrast, and spatial awareness, teaching students how to recreate objects and images with accuracy and expression. Topics include facial expressions, still life, one-point perspective, character design, mason jars & lanterns, animal drawing, and atmospheric perspective.
Grades: 3rd-6th (Ages: 8-12)
Still Observation Art 1
This course improves students' ability to accurately depict real objects through drawing and painting. Students will explore techniques like tonal paper, fine line drawing, mixed media, and color shading, while working from life to enhance proportion and observational skills. The course also focuses on developing visual composition and understanding of shapes through various mediums.

Narrative Concept Series & Triptych
This course guides students in creating narrative-driven art projects using non-digital materials. With a focus on storytelling, world-building, and character design, students will develop their artistic style while exploring meaningful themes.
Grades: 1st-6th (Ages: 6-11)
International/National Art Competition
This course is an opportunity for students to learn the steps, requirements, and processes involved in applying to and entering national, regional, and international art competitions. Students will be guided in developing unique concepts and images based on prompted themes from various organizations.
Grades: 2nd-4th (Ages: 7-9)
Creative Expression
This course fosters creative thinking, problem-solving, and conceptual understanding. Through hands-on projects, students will explore innovative ideas and experiment with different techniques to bring their visions to life. Topics include Pop Art, fashion design, light shows, snake charming, creative constellations, robo-animals, portal travel, and coin design.
Grades: 1st-3rd (Ages: 6-8)
Creative Storytellers
This course introduces young artists to the fundamentals of visual storytelling, equipping them with the skills to bring their ideas to life. Through the exploration of both classic and modern media—ranging from fairy tales to cartoons and film—students will learn the essential rules, tools, and techniques of narrative art. This class fosters creative thinking and ideation, while also integrating key design principles into each project.
Grades: Kinder-2nd (Ages: 5-7.5)
Young Creative Artist
This course focuses on inspiring and expanding students' imagination and expression. Students will be supported in creating clear compositions while honing their individual ideas and creativity. Throughout the class, students will have the freedom to choose their subject matter, work with basic building shapes for their compositions, and refine design details.
Grades: PreK-Kinder (Ages: 4-5)
Little Artist 2D + 3D
This course is designed to introduce our youngest students to the world of art through hands-on exploration of various materials and subject matter. This class fosters creativity, social interaction, and fine motor skill development in a fun and engaging classroom environment.
Digital Art & Design
Grades: 6th-12th (Ages: 12+)
This course, Intermediate Fashion Design & Sewing, focuses on enhancing students' skills in fashion sketching and garment construction. Students will learn to draw accurate body proportions, create croquis, and design multiple looks on one figure. They'll explore different sketching mediums to add texture and color to their designs.
Grades: 5th-8th (Ages: 11-14)

Digital Self-Publishing Children’s Book
This class covers everything from creative writing, design & illustration skills, and publishing & marketing practices. Students learn to develop their research, presentation, & design skills in this well-rounded & in-depth course.

3D Sculpting & 3D Printing

This course offers an introduction to the world of 3D image and model creation. Using the Nomad Sculpt program, students will master the controls and core principles of 3D modeling through hands-on projects, with the added potential for 3D printing their creations.

Digital Art & Design
This course builds on the foundational skills from the Digital Art course, providing more advanced training in digital techniques. Students will tackle projects that push their creativity and technical abilities, such as still life studies focusing on volume and composition, merchant cart designs that emphasize cohesion and simplified forms, and portrait studies that explore color theory and symmetry.
Grades: 3rd-6th (Ages: 8-12)
Digital Art
This course introduces students to digital art tools like Clip Studio, Procreate, and Photoshop, where they’ll work on creative projects like bookmarks, sticker sheets, and coloring pages. Students will learn about digital brushes, color theory, and graphic rendering while creating works such as a winter landscape, forest scene, and atmospheric cityscape.
Grades: 1st-3rd (Ages: 6-8)
3D Sculpting & Mix Medium
This course combines fine and digital art to create both 2D and 3D projects. Through hands-on crafting, students will learn how to transform fine art into digital creations. They’ll explore functional and decorative projects while gaining a solid understanding of art fundamentals like color theory, structure, and shapes.
